Grant's 200th Birthday! City Point Photo Recreation
In celebration of Grant's 200th birthday, here I am reproducing the famous pose at his headquarters in City Point, Virginia -- near Petersburg and Richmond. From this high bluff you can see where the Appomattox River flows into the James River. In 1864-65, this now sleepy village was one of the busiest sea ports in the world.
